Notes vs Blogs

One of the benefits of having a website is being able to quickly share information. An issue with this is there are often situations where I want to share something that is useful, not but something that would be a good demonstration of my writing ability.

For example, sharing notes on kubernetes audit log volume might be very useful to some, but it’s more observations, not more thought out pieces such as Human Memory Managment.

A secondary concern is that blogs are more “professional” work that requires much more time and consideration of structure, grammar checking, and overall flow. This is important, but creates a lot of friction that stops me from sharing information.

A good parallel is mix-tapes vs albums. I use notes as a mix-tape for sharing useful or new ideas and blogs as an album of self contained ideas.
